Rites Saturday For Mrs. Christy Williamson
Last rites for Mrs. Christy Williamson, who passed away at the Sunset home in Story City on March 14, were held in the chapel of the home on Saturday afternoon. The pastors S. T. Nelson and E. R. Rorem officiated.
Mrs. Robert Kenny sang "I'm But a Stranger Here" and "Behold a Host Arrayed in White." Mrs. Alfred Jacobson was at the piano. Interment was in Story City cemetery, with Torkel Hill, Bert Hill, Burton Gandrup and Iver Egenes serving as pall bearers.
Mrs. Williamson was born in Oslo, Norway, March 4, 1858. On Nov. 26, 1887, she was united in marriage to Andrew Williamson at Rochester, Minn., who preceded her in death in Story City on Jan. 14, 1933. A daughter, Grace Beatrice, also presented her in death on Oct. 30, 1925, in Winona, Minn.
Mrs. Williamson had been a resident of Story City since 1893, and of the Sunset Home the past 15 and one half years. At the time of her death she had reached the age of 93 years and ten days.
Surviving is one son, Clarence W., who has been a resident of Chicago since 1912, and two grandchildren, Robert and Mary Jane.
