THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, January 21, 1937, page 1, column 2. "DEATH OF JAMES SCARCELLO - James Franklin Scarcello, son of James and Mabel Mishler Scarcello was born in Hardin county, Iowa, Nov. 28, 1922, and departed this life at his home in Manly, Iowa, Jan. 19, 1937, at the age of 14 years, 1 month and 12 days. James had always been a sufferer from heart trouble, which was the cause of his death. He was a constant sufferer and had to give up school work. He leaves to mourn his departure his parents, Grandfather John Mishler, at Manly; a grandmother, Elizabeth Scarcello, in Italy; 5 sisters, Mrs. John Crasser, of Fernald; Minerva, of Chicago; Rose, Betty and Mary at home; 5 brothers, John, Sam, Francis, Richard and Delbert, all at home. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 12, at the Evangelical church at Manly. Then the body was brought to Elkhart Wednesday morning and services were held at Mt. Zion Church, with Rev. Clarence Thiele officiating. Burial was in Mt. Zion cemetery. A large number of relatives and friends accompanied the body from Manly."
