Lars Peterson Died On Christmas

Special to the Journal.
Gilbert, Dec. 26--Lars Peterson, 76, died Sunday and the body is now at the Henderson funeral home in Story City, where it is held pending funeral arrangements.

Mr. Peterson, long time resident of this place was taken ill while at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ed Cahner* at Minneapolis. Taken to the hospital there for a time, he was unsatisfied and came back to be cared for by his daughter, Miss Leta Peterson.

He leaves three sons and two daughters. They are Ed Peterson of Gilbert and James and Lewis of Minneapolis and Mrs. Ed Cahner* of Minneapolis and Miss Leta, who has been employed as cook at the Story County Home.

The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 2:00 at the Lutheran church in Gilbert.

*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: The daughter of Lars Peterson was Lillie Ferne Peterson who married Edward Zahner in Anoka, Minnesota in 1934. She was Mrs. Ed Zahner, not Cahner as stated.
