EDWARD G. PETERSON
Edward G. Peterson, 73, of Story City, died Wednesday, July 4th at 2 a.m. at the Story City Memorial Hospital where he had been admitted Saturday.
Born October 5, 1899 to Lars and Julia Peterson, he worked as a car salesman Ford Motor Co. of Story City and also ran a pony farm on the edge of Story City for several years.
On January 16, 1929, he married Olive Askelson and they lived in Gilbert until 1937 when they moved to Story City.
Edward G. Peterson is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Ryan (Laurel) Parks of Richardson, Texas; a son, Phillip, of Story City; a sister, Fern Hamilton of Hoquiam, Washington; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be Saturday, July 7 at 2 p.m. from the Immanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. C. A. Gisselquist officiating. The burial will be in the Story City Municipal Cemetery. The body will lie in the Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home.
