DEATHS

ANDREW M. PETERSON

Services were held on Friday, March 4 at 2 p.m. at the Palestine Lutheran Church at Huxley for Andrew M. Peterson, a long time resident of the Huxley Community.

Pallbearers were his three grandsons, Richard Jenkins, LeRoy Peterson, Jerold Peterson also Ted Roberts, LeRoy Cronk and George Jenkins. Interment was in the Palestine Cemetery.

Andrew M. Peterson was born on Feb. 15, 1871 near Keokuk and died March 1, 1966 at the age of 95 years, 13 days. He came to Story County in 1893 and was united in marriage to Julia Johnson on March 14, 1900. He farmed near Huxley until he retired and moved to town He has been living with his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Fjelland. Mr. Peterson is survived by two sons, Clifford of Huxley, Joseph of Pomona, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Pearl Pentico, Prairie City, Mrs. Gladys Peters of Covina, Calif.; Mrs. Erma Fjelland of Huxley; one brother, Edward of Dunbar; 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews near Marshalltown.

He was preceded in death by his wife, two daughters and a son.
