SAMUEL C. PETERSON

Samuel C. Peterson, 77, of 504 Sixth St., Nevada, died Sunday morning at the Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames after an extended illness. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at Memorial Lutheran Church at 1:30 p.m.

Born January 23, 1896 to the parents of John and Sina Peterson in Nevada, he was a life-long resident of Story County had retired from his duties as a farmer. A member of Memorial Lutheran Church, he was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign War Post No. 2209.

Surviving are his wife, Rena, who he married November 7, 1958 in Boone, and four sisters: Mrs. Mabel Brown of Des Moines; Mrs. Marie Kirkwood of Oklawaha, Florida; Mrs. Lois Dirksen of Ames; and Mrs. Hazel Nutty of Nevada.

He will be buried in the Story Memorial Gardens at Ames, with Pastor Wayne Hanson officiating in the services.

Friends may call at the Ryan Funeral Home until noon Tuesday.
