DEATHS

Marie Jondall

Funeral services for Marie Jondall were held Wednesday, May 16 at 2 p.m., in St. Petri Lutheran Church, Story City, with Pastor Rhuben O. Aga officiating.

The senior choir sang Beautiful Savior, and two hymns, "Children of the Heavenly Father" and "O Jesus I Have Promised" were sung by the congregation. Mrs. Joel Jacobson was at the organ.

Serving as pallbearers were Herbert Egenes, Arnold G. Johnson, Gerhard M. Erickson, Richard S. Lowry, John S. Valen and Mike Smuck. The body was laid to rest in the Story City Municipal Cemetery.

Marie was born March 3, 1903 in Story City to parents Ole and Elsie Jondall. She was baptized and confirmed in St. Petri Lutheran Church, and had been a member of the choir for many years. From 1947 until her retirement in 1968, she worked in the Story City Book Store of which she was part owner.

She is survived by one brother, Henry Jondall and one sister, Mrs. Clarence J. (Ella) Jacobson, both of Story City and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
