THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, December 2, 1920, page 1, column 2. "IRA MILLER. - Ira Elmer Miller was born near Iowa City, Iowa, June 15, 1875, and died at his home in Springfield Mo., November 14, 1920, age forty-five years. He came to Polk county, Iowa, with his parents when a small child and grew to manhood on a farm near Mt. Zion church. He was married to Nellie A. Bell August 26, 1896. To this union was born five children, two sons and three daughters, all of whom, with the widow survive. He also leaves to mourn their loss, his father, M. J. Miller, two brothers and one sister, his mother having preceded him in death some twenty years ago. Funeral services were held at the Grand Street Baptist church, Springville, November 16th. Interment was at East Lawn cemetery."
