THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, July 13, 1922, page 1, column 4. "TWENTY YEARS AGO - Items taken from the Maxwell Tribune of July 17, 1902. - H. W. Martin returned from Hardin county Saturday. Mr. Martin had been called to that place to be present _____ on his father, but the operation proved fatal, as Mr. Martin, Sr., never regained consciousness after it was performed, but died in about an hour."
