MR. O. A. OLSON
STORY CITY--Word has been received in Story City of the death on Aug. 6 of a former prominent Story Citian, O. A. Olson, 78, who died in Calias, Me., of a stroke he suffered the previous Monday.
He was taken ill when he was on a three weeks vacation in Maine with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. John Leermakers and their son, John, Jr. of Rochester, N. Y. with whom he had been making his home.
Funeral services were held in Rochester, Tuesday, Aug 12 after which the body was flown by airplane to Hollywood, Calif., his previous home. Graveside services were held there Saturday, Aug 16 at Hollywood Hills-Forest Lawn.
Mr. Olson former Chicago Northwestern station agent in Story City for over fifty years, moved with his wife, Helen to Hollywood, Calif. upon his retirement from his work in the late 40's. They resided there until a year ago.
His wife preceded him in death. Surviving are a daughter, Ordale (Mrs. Leermakers) of Rochester, N. Y. and three grandsons.
