THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, April 17, 1941, page 1, column 5. "OBITUARY. - Fanny Rae, daughter of Elizabeth and Schuyler Bell, was born Nov. 11, 1892, near Maxwell, Iowa, and died April 13, 1941, at 1039 Harding Road, Des Moines, Iowa, at the age of 48 years, 5 months and 2 days. In September, 1912, she was married to Louis Vlahos, of Des Moines, Iowa. To this union two children were born, 1 son, Gus Vlahos and one daughter, Elaine Bright. In 1919 she was married again to Emery Lund, of St. Paul, Minn. She leaves to mourn her departure of this life, besides the son and daughter, four grandchildren, one grandchild preceded her over a year ago; three sisters, Mrs. J. E. Westcott, Mrs. Ben Parr, of Des Moines, Iowa; Mrs. Leonard Jacobson, Maxwell, Iowa, and two brothers, Burl Bell, Mingo, Iowa, and Floyd bell, Newton, Iowa. All were at her bedside when she passed away; also a host of other relatives and friends. In early life she joined the M. E. church at Maxwell, Iowa. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, April 15, in the Maxwell Methodist Church, in charge of the pastor, John C. Turner, with Rev. H. D. Robinson, of Des Moines, assisting. Burial in Peoria cemetery. A quartet, consisting of C. B. French, Martin H. Troup, Pearl Busenburg and Jennie Kirk, sang "That Beautiful Land," "City Foursquare" and "Jesus Saviour** Pilot Me," accompanied by Mrs. Arthur Hale at the piano. The pallbearers were E. L. Wood, Vern Randol, J. R. Vallandingham, Jr., John Oxley, Glen and Burt Bell." **Editorial note - the spelling used is from the original newspaper article.
