THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, October 11, 1894, page 1, column 4. "Mt. Zion. - It has pleased God to call from our midst the little daughter of George and Christena Link, aged 1 year 3 months and 12 days. The Saviour** says "Of such is the kingdom of heaven." We bless God for such a kingdom to come. It has never been my lot to see a child carry more love and sunshine. There is one angel less on earth, one more in heaven. Little Rosa will long be remembered and blessed by all who knew her. May God bless the bereaved, and fix their hearts on this treasure in heaven. The funeral services were held in church and the remains buried at Mt. Zion." "A Tribute of Regard. Dearest daughter, how we miss thee Since no more we hear the voice That was sweet as liquid bird song, Making all our hearts rejoice. It was hard to see thee dying, Hard to watch thy fleeting breath, To fold thy hands, to those thine eyes, And feel the truth that this was death. But well we know thour't** with the angels On a bright and shining shore; And that on some blessid** morning We shall clasp thy hand once more." **Editorial note - spelling, grammar and punctuation used are from the original newspaper article.
