THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE Maxwell, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, October 31, 1918, page, "ROBERT LEROY KIRKMAN - Robert Leroy Kirkman, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Kirkman, was born October 27, 1918 at 6 o'clock a. m., but was too frail too endure the chilling blasts of this cold world and died at 3 in the afternoon. Prayer was offered at the home, October 28th, by Rev. J. R. McNichols and the little body was laid to rest in the Peoria Cemetery to await the resurrection morning. Thus another fair bud has been plucked from earth to bloom in the ideal land of summer above. J. R. McNichols."
