THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, January 6, 1921, page 1, column 5. “GEORGE A. KIMBERLEY – George Albert Kimberley was born July 5 1869 on the Kimberley homestead in Jasper County, Iowa, and departed this life at the home of his sister, Mrs. J. B. Angelo, in Maxwell, Iowa, January 3, 1921 aged fifty-one years. George was the 5th son of Isaiah and Mary Ann Kimberley. On December 24, 1919, at Little Rock, Arkansas, he was united in marriage to Miss Susie M. Doty of Lexington, Mississippi, who survives him, together with three brothers and sisters, J. B., Frank and Charles and Mrs. Harriet Swalwell, of Collins, Iowa, of Collins, Iowa, Mrs. Ada Angelo and Mrs. Ruth Pearson both of Maxwell. The early part of Mr. Kimberley’s life was spent in Iowa, he was graduated from the rural schools of Jasper county, after which he attended Maxwell High School and Drake University at Des Moines. In 1893 he located in Little Rock, Ark., where he has since resided. Mr. Kimberley was a member of the Order of the Knights of Pythias and in May 1919, he was elected to the office of Grand Keeper of Records and Seals of the Grand Lodge of Arkansas, which position he held at the time of his death. He returned to Maxwell, Iowa, on December 18, 1920 to spend his remaining days with home folks. His greatest aim in life was to make others happy, ministering to the sick and needy and cheering them along the way. So let him sleep that dreamless sleep. Our sorrows clustering round his head Be comforted ye loved ones who weep He lives with God he is not dead. Funeral services were held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Angelo at two o’clock Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. R. L. Mitchell, pastor of the Maxwell M. E. church. A quartet composed of Messrs. Charles and George Olinger, Mrs. Arta Sabo and Miss Marie Scott with Mrs. Geo. Olinger as pianist, rendered appropriate musical selections. Internment was made in the Peoria Cemetery.”
