THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, March 1, 1951, page 3, column 2. “MISS ROSE JOHN DIES AT AMES – Miss Rose John passes away at the Mary Greeley hospital in Ames Wednesday morning, February 28, where she was taken Saturday. She had been in failing health for some time. Services will be held at the Presbyterian Church Friday, March 2, at 2:00 p.m., with burial in the Maxwell cemetery.”
