HENRY ANFINSON
CAMBRIDGE--Funeral services for Henry Anfinson, who died at the Story County Hospital April 30, were held from the Cambridge Lutheran church Saturday, May 3 with the Rev. LeRoy Sargent of Ames and the Rev. Alvestad of Ames officiating. Burial was in the Cambridge cemetery.
Casket bearers were Niels Balmer, Estherville, Wendell Christopherson, Cambridge, Edwin Anfinson, Clarion, W. A. Egemo, Story City, Joe Seversike, Cambridg and Harold Christopherson of Cambridge.
Life Sketch
Henry Anfinson was born to Anfin and Ellen Anfinson on Jan. 4, 1874 at Story county, Iowa. He was baptized at the Fjeldberg church in Story county and confirmed at the Palestine Lutheran church at Cambridge.
In 1901 he moved to Wright county, Iowa where he was engaged in farming.
He was united in marriage to Birdie Olson on March 14, 1902. In 1903 he returned to Story county and remained there until his death on April 30, 1958.
Mr. Anfinson is survived by his son, Birdsall of Phoenix, Ariz., a sister, Mrs. Carrie Johnson of Estherville, Iowa, a brother Harry Anfinson of Clarion, Iowa and Mrs. Johns Christopherson of Cambridge, Iowa, a cousin who made her home with them, also a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one sister and five brothers.
