MARGARET WIERSON

STORY CITY--Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 8 at 2:00 p.m. in the Immanuel Lutheran Chruch, Story City for Mrs. Margaret Wierson with the Rev. Harold T. Masted officiating.

"Invocation" and "Nearer My God To Thee" were sung by the Story City Men's Chorus.

Pallbearers were Burnice Jacobson, Orville Paulson, Roy Gaard, Milo Nessa, William Peterson and B. M. Howell. Interment was in the Story City Municipal cemetery.

Life Sketch

Margaret Muriel West, daughter of George and Anna West was born December 5, 1908 at Estherville, Iowa. She was a graduate of Estherville High School and Cornell College, Mount Vernon, Iowa. She also did graduate work at the University of Iowa and California. She taught for some years at Pocahontas and Humboldt and for six years in the Story City High School.

She was united in marriage to Irving Wierson on June 19, 1933. Since 1945, she has been a resident of this community. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Survivors ware her husband; father, George West, Esthervolle; two sisters, Mrs. Lewis (Florence) LeMaster, Ringsted and Elizabeth West, LaMesa, Calif.; a brother, Kenneth West, Estherville; six nieces and nephews; and a host of friends and relatives.

Mrs. Wierson was preceded in death by her mother in 1952.

Mrs. Wierson died at 3:30 on Easter Sunday morning, April 6 at the Story City Memorial Hospital.
