Obituary

Raymond Donald Tendall was born Sept. 14, 1924 at McCallsburg, Iowa, son of Michael L. and Christine Tendall.

He was baptized in the Bethany Lutheran church of McCallsburg. At the age of 14 he was confirmed in the Salem Lutheran church of Roland. he united with the Central Presbyterian church of Nevada on April 11, 1957.

Raymond graduated from the Milford Township Consolidated School.

On July 6, 1946, he was married to Norma Marguerite Kirby in St. Paul's Lutheran church in Des Moines. To this union were born three children.

Raymond and his family have made their home in Nevada. He has been employed at Graphic Forms for about nine years.

Recently he joined the Moose Lodge.

Death came tragically on Feb. 14 when Raymond was 33 years of age.

He was preceded in death by his father in August 1955.

Those left to mourn are his wife, Norma; one son, Keith; two daughters, Linda and Gail; his mother, Mrs. Mrs. Christine Tendall of Roland; a brother, Leonrard of Nevada, three sisters, Mrs. Wendell Williams of Nevada, Mrs. Lyle Hemer of Des Mones, Mrs. Floyd Twedt of Nevada, and many friends.

When Raymond was confirmed at the age of 15, the service meant a lot to him. He saved the Order of Service and his Confirmation Certificate. He spoke to me of good spiritual training he had received through the efforts of the Rev. Olaf Holen, beloved former pastor. Raymond took as his confirmation Scripture verse, the Word from Paul, Rom. 1:16 "I am not ashamed of the Gospel; for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth."
