Last Rites Were Held For Carl Stromberg
Funeral services for Carl V. Stromberg, Nevada were held from the Ryan Funeral Home Friday afternoon at 1:30 p. m. with Elder Jones of the Seventh-day Adventist church officiating.
Two songs "Asleep in Jesus" and "Sweet Bye and Bye" were sung by a male quartet of the church accompanied by Mrs. Otho Kirk at the organ.
The casket bearers were Elmer Anderson, Frank Arnett, Carroll Culver, Jacob Joiner, John Hagestrom and Glen Sanders.
Burial was in the St. Olaf cemetery in Fort Dodge.
Obituary
Carl Victor Stromberg was born in Sweden July 5, 1878 and died in the Story County Hospital in Nevada Tuesday evening, Feb. 11, 1958, at the age of 79 years, seven month and six days. He had been ill for the past two years. He was a member of the Adventist church.
Mr. Stromberg was married in Sweden to Elveda [should be Alveda] Anderson who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his parents, one son and two daughters.
Survivors include two sons, Einer Stromberg of Fort Dodge, J. Wilbur Stromberg of Storm Lake, and two daughters, Lillian, Mrs. Arthur Kirchoff of Nevada and Signa, Mrs. Sam Rogers of Galesburg, Ill. He also leaves eight grandchildren.
