Mrs. Chas. Davis, 73, Dies In Des Moines

Mrs. Laura Carr Davis, 73, wife of Charles Davis of Des Moines, a resident of Nevada as a young girl, died Thursday, Oct. 10 in Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, where she had been a patient for ten days. She had been a semi-invalid for the past 11 years.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 12 at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Des Moines, with Elder T. A. Nickum of the Seventh Day Adventist church, officiating. Burial was in the Laurel Hill cemetery in Des Moines.

The deceased, born in Guthrie county, was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Carr of Nevada. She had been a resident of Des Moines for the past 45 years. No children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Davis.

Survivors are the husband, Charles Davis of Des Moines and one sister Mrs. Myrtle White of 225 J avenue, Nevada, the last living member of the Carr family.

Mrs. White had been in Des Moines for about 18 days during the illness and death of her sister. Also in attendance at the funeral from here were Mrs. A. H. Olesen and Mrs. Peter Ferden.
