A quartette compossed of Misses Letta Houge, Rachel, Erma and Mildred Estrem sang "Beautiful Beckoning Hands" and "Under His Wings." Roy, an unusually bright healthy boy, had been ill only a few days when he was taken to the Mary Greeley hospital at Ames for an operation Saturday, where it was found he had ruptured appendix. Complications had developed and he passed away Sunday afternoon. He leaves to mourn his loss his parents, a brother and two sisters. The Twits formerly lived near Kelley but had recently moved to a farm west of Cambridge. Burial was made in the Slater city cemetery.
