Funeral Services Held For Harlan J. Failor

SLATER Funeral services for Harlan J. Failor was held Tuesday afternoon at the Riis Funeral Home in Slater. Rev. William T. Hoyle was in charge of the service. Nilus Ihle sang two selections accompanied by Mrs. Oliver Newman.

Mrs. John Gunderson and Mrs. Phil Rood cared for the flowers. Casket bearers were Phil Rood, John Gunderson, Jonas Christianson, K. J. Granseth, John K. Scott, and Arnold Alleman.

Burial was in the Ames Municipal Cemetery.

Obituary

Harlan Failor was born June 16, 1869 in Jasper County, Iowa and passed away Sunday, March 17 at the Skiff Memorial Hospital at Newton. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Vern Schultz of Rising Sun and three sons, Sam of Ames, Harold J. of Jewell and Dr. Carter Failor who lives in Wisconsin.

He was preceded in death by his wife and one daughter, Margaret. Mr. and Mrs. Failor made their home in Slater for many years and have many friends here.
