Funeral For Miss Thompson Friday

Slater, March 4--Funeral services for Miss Katie Thompson were held Friday at the home at 1:30 p. m. and at the Bethlehem church at 2:00. Services were in charge of Rev. P. Bueland of Cambridge. Miss Ella Maland sang "One Sweetly Solemn Thought" and a trio, "The Old Rugged Cross" and sung by Mrs. Harold Croft, of Des Moines, Miss Ella Maland and Mrs. M. S. Heggen. The floral offerings were numerous and beautiful. Burial was made in the Bethlehem cemetery.

Katie Bernitta Thompson was born August 10, 1888 and died February 26th, 1929. She is survived by one sister Nellie and two brothers, Elmer of Des Moines and Mart of this place, two nieces Blanche and Bernice Thompson of Des Moines and her fiancee, Nels Kloster of Huxley and other relatives and friends.

She was a member of the Bethlehem church and the Dorcas circle.
