Although unable to attend the service of the church, she read her Bible daily and enjoyed the services broadcast by radio every Sunday morning.

Here she was cared for until Saturday morning, when by the advice of the attending physician she was taken to the University hospital at Iowa city where she underwent an emergency operation, from which she never rally rallied. She passed away Saturday night August 24th, at the age of 73 years, 4 month and 21 days.
