Funeral Services for Milton Hill, Saturday
Special to the Journal.
Slater, May 19--Funeral services for Milton Hill, 35, who met a tragic death at his home south of here Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The services were in charge of Rev. E. R. Rorem who spoke in the English language, assisted by Rev. P. Buland of Cambridge, who spoke in the Norwegian language. The abundance of beautiful floral offerings bore testimony to the sympathy of sorrowing relatives and friends. The American flag covered the casket. Two duets, "In the Garden" and "Jesus Lover of My Soul" were sung by Miss Carolyn Rimathe and Miss Josie Ryg. A Norwegian song "Jeg Ved En Vei" was sung by Mrs. A. L. Peterson. The pallbearers were Barney and Clarence Hill, Ed Lee, Sabin Sydnes, Jonal Tesdll and Morris Sydness. The flagbearer and firing squad preceded the hearse to the Bethlehem cemetery where burial took place.

Milton B. Hill was born Feb. 1, 1896 and died May 15, 1930, at the age of 34 years. He was baptized and confirmed in the Bethlehem congregation. He was married to Miss Aletta Houge daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hans Houge, Nov. 24, 1921. Two children were born to this union, Arlene and Herbert. Besides his wife and children, he leaves to mourn his loss his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hill of Huxley, five sister, Mrs. Sabin Sydnes, Mrs. Ed Lee, Misses Hattie, Ruth and Zelda, three brothers Barney, Clarence and Jerome.
