Clemmensen conducted the funeral services in the Johnson's Grove M. E. church Sunday afternoon, Oct. 16, and was assisted by the former pastor, Rev. A. B. Shrader. Interment was made in the cemetery adjoining the church. A large concourse of friends were present to honor the memory of this aged saint. In 1828 she was married to George Kuhn and nine children were born to them, four of whom are yet living and were all at the funeral. There also living 19 grand children, 20 great-grand children, and nearly all these were present on the day of the funeral. Sixteen years ago Mrs. Kuhn came to Iowa. For a number of years she has been confined to her house with the infirmities of age, but she was always glad to have a visit from cheerful friends of who she had many. Not many weeks before her death she asked for and received the Holy Communion. An unmarried daughter, Martha was her constant companion and faithfully ministered to every need. At last the aged saint was gathered home as a shock of corn fully ripe for harvest. A long and busy life is ended. She rests in peace.
