Sudden Death of Huxley Young Man
The funeral of Ed. Ryen the Huxley young man who met death from heart failure in the river near Jefferson Sunday evening is being held at the Palestine church at Huxley Wednesday afternoon at 1:00, Rev. Peter Buland officiating.
Ryen was 24 years of age and a son of Mr. and Mrs. Knut Ryen. He was a barber and had been working at Jefferson. He had been out with a party of friends and had been in the water a number of times during Sunday. In the afternoon, after partaking a hearty meal, he entered the water again and died almost instantly from heart failure, he having suffered from heart trouble before. The shock of the cold water upon his over-heated system is supposed to have brought on the attack.
The young man was of a well known family and was highly respected in Huxley and vicinity. Mr. and Mrs. L. S. Kloster of this city drove down today to attend the funeral services.
