Mrs. Ned Pearson and Mrs. Miles Cook sang "Hide Me, Nearer Still Nearer" and "Does Jesus Care?" with Mrs. H. C. Larson accompanist. The altar was banked with many beautiful floral tributes and were arranged and carried by Mrs. Lizzie Proctor and Mrs. E. L. Wood.

Pallbearers were Alva E. Har--, W. E. Van Hook, Will Troup, Will Hilton, Will Enfield and Milton Boster.

Rev. Darling read the following obituary during the services

"Mary Jane Davis, daughter of David and Elizabeth Davis, was born in New Bridge, Wales, June 6, 1875 and passed away July 24, 1941 at the age of 66 years, one month and 18 days. The parents with one son and daughter came to the United States when she was but five years old, and she has lived ever since in or near Maxwell. She was united in marriage to W. C. Rupp July 31, 1898. She became a member of the Presbyterian church in her early life in which faith she continued until the last."

The deceased was a member of the Presbyterian church, local Rebekah Lodge, Maxwell Townsend club, and Royal Neighbors Lodge at Nevada and was very loyal to her obligations as long as her health permitted. Her illness extended over a period of two years although she had been about in the home until the last 12 weeks when she returned to the University hospital at Iowa City.

Interment was made in the Maxwell cemetery.
