Funeral Services Held for Mrs. Himmel

Special to the Journal.
Radcliffe, July 30 -- Funeral services were held at the St. John's Evangelical church Sunday afternoon for the late Mrs. Levi Himmel who passed away at her home Thursday evening. Rev. L. B. Russel of Marshalltown, a former pastor, was assisted by Rev. O. C. Gatrelle, local pastor, Rev. G. J. Roths of Evergreen.

Mrs. Himmel was born in Mason county, Ill. Feb. 12, 1862. Here she spent her early life and on August 17, 1882, was married to Levi C. Himmel. They came to Iowa and have resided on the same place near Radcliffe for 59 years. She was a charter member of the St. John's Evangelical church. Mr. and Mrs. Himmel have one foster son, Will C. Himmel of Radcliffe. Surviving are the aged husband, one son, one brother in Illinois and numerous nieces and nephews. Burial was in the Radcliffe cemetery.
