THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, October 6, 1898, page _, column _. "Obituary - Elizabeth A. Dunlap, daughter of Rev. James and Mary Hutson, was born in Henry county, Indiana, April 29, 1842; died September 28, 1898; aged 56 years and 5 months. She came to Iowa with her parents in 1855 and was married to Geo. H. Dunlap October 13, 1860. To them was born one son, who lives to mourn her loss and cherish her memory. The husband and father died in the service of his country at Memphis, Tenn., May 24, 1864, since which she has remained a widow. She was an ernest**, consistent christian and member of the M. P. church since its organization here. She had been an invalid for two years and during the last few months suffered with brain softening, resulting in her death as above stated. Her death was peaceful, at the last she literally fell asleep in Jesus. The funeral was held on Friday, September 29th, at the Peoria church, the writer preaching the sermon from John. A great concourse of relatives and friends attended and laid her to rest to await the Savior's call on the glad resurrection morning. S. S. Scull, Pastor."
