THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, November 13, 1969, page 1, column 2. "LORAN DAVIS. - Loran Davis, 66, passed away Monday afternoon at the Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames, after being a patient there only 2 hours. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth; 1 daughter Mrs. Thelma Gale; 2 granddaughters and his mother, Mrs. Annie Davi**, of the Oak Park Manor in Nevada. Funeral services were held at 1:30 Wednesday afternoon, at the Peoria Methodist Church, with Rev. Dale Ellsworth officiating.
