Funeral Services for Leota Rebman Held on Monday
Funeral services for Leota Rebman, 46, were held Monday afternoon at 2 p. m. at the Morfoot Funeral home with Rev. C. E. Lookingbill in charge of the services. Commital was in the Nevada cemetery.
Mrs. Norman Dobson was at the organ. Mrs. Andel Freeman sang "Asleep in Jesus" and at the close of the service Mrs. Dobson played "The End of a Perfect Day."
The flowers were many and beautiful.
The pallbearers were Harve Stahlman, Ray, Bill and Cassel Lock, Amos Anderson and Clarence Anderson.
The following obituary was read at the funeral service:
"Leota Faun Rebman, daughter of Harry and Ena Rebman was born in Nevada, Iowa, Nov. 11, 1897, lived with her parents in and near Nevada until 1932 when she moved with her parents to Nevada, Mo., where she made her home until her death Sept. 15, 1944.
Leota trained herself for a nurse and followed her profession for 23 years until her health broke under the heavy strain of the work. Leota was appreciated and loved by those whom she cared for in their sickness.
Her father preceded her in death in the year of 1935. She leaves to mourn her departure, her mother, her uncles and aunts, other relatives and a host of friends.
Leota gave her life to her Lord in her young days and lived a christian life until her death.
Among those from out of town her for the funeral service were her mother, Mrs. Harry Rebman of Nevada, Mo., who had accompanied the remains here, Frank Whiteman of Lake Crystal, Minn.; and Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Grierson of Lohrville.
