Obituary of Clara O. Larson
Clara O. Larson was born August 25, 1888 near Huxley, Iowa, daughter of Lewis and Sarah Larson. Her mother died in 1892. She spent her early years in Story county and ws baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church. She graduated from Slater high school in 1907 and attended Drake University after which she taught in the Huxley public school. The past 30 years she had lived in the west. For 27 years she held a responsible position of in the Claim and Adjustment Department of Fredrick and Nelson Store. She died a Mercy hospital, March 23, 1946, at the age of 57 years.
Survivors are her father, Lewis A. Larson of Slater, Iowa, brothers, Seward of Blue Earth, Minn., Silas of Ames, Milton of El Centro, Calif., Noel of Fremont, Ia., Donald of Evanston, Ill., sisters, Sena Christopherson of Cambridge, Gladys Sproul of Des Moines, Lila Higgs and Edna Hedlund of Madrid, Marie Meredith of Seattle, Wash., and Frances Johnson of Cambridge. Funeral services were March 27, with Rev. H. E. Jacobson in charge. There were two vocal numbers, "Come Unto Me" and "A Little While" sung by Mr. and Mrs. Harold Olson of Ames.
