Martin Durby Passes Away In Lurlock California

The sad news was received here last Thursday from Lurlock Cal. that Martin Durby had passed away at his home near that place. The message was received by his brothers, Oliver and Peter, of this place, and altho they had known that his death could be expected, the news came as a shock. Mr. Durby had been suffering for some time with an abscess of the head and no relief could be found until death came.

Besides his wife he leaves two children, Theodore and Birdie, to mourn his death, also four brothers, Oliver and Peter Durby, of this place, Lars Durby, of Story City, and Rev. C. T. Dyrness of Chicago and two brothers and two sisters in Norway, and numerous other relatives. Mr. Durby is quite well known to many of our readers, having lived in this vicinity many years ago, later moving to Jewell and then to Minnesota and about two years ago to California.
