Fines Services Held Here Mon. Afternoon; Interment at Colo
Funeral services for Harold E. Fines, Nevada dairy farmer whose body was found in parked auto southeast of Nevada last week, death attributed to carbon monoxide poisoning were held Monday afternoon.
Teh Rev. E. R. Walter conducted services from the Evangelical United Brethren church after which the Odd Fellows followed with a short service, also at the church. Burial was in Colo cemetery.
Obituary
Harold Ephraim Fines, the son of James and Mattie Fines, was born June 28, 1909 near Zearing, Iowa, and died on Jan. 7, 1948, at Nevada, Iowa, at the age of 38 years, six months and nine days.
On Nov. 28, 1928, he was united in marriage to Pauline Troutner and they established their home near Zearing where they lived until six years ago when they moved to their present home south of Nevada. To this union two children were born, Verna and Wynetta, both at home.
Mr. Fines at the time of passing was operating a successful dairy. He was an active member and a trustee of the Evangelical United Brethren church in Nevada. He was highly respected as a friend and brother. He will be greatly missed.
His father and one brother and one sister preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn his untimely departure his wife, Pauline, two daughters, Verna and Wynetta, one grandson, Eugene Raymond, his mother, Mattie Fines, Los Angeles, Calif., one brother, Howard, Waterloo, and and nine sisters, Mrs. Lewis Thompson, Chicago, Ill., Mrs. Nels Rasmussen, Hollywood, Calif., Mrs. Ora Hudson, Van Nuys, Calif.; Mrs. Bill Oddette, New Port Beach, Calif., Mrs. Pete Reece, Los Angeles, Calif., Barbara Jean Fines, Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Delbert Beech, Waterloo, Iowa, and Mrs. B. L. Johnson, Billings, Mont., besides a host of relatives and friends.
