Recent Funeral Service For John (Dutch) Moon

John Vernon (Dutch) Moon of Zearing died 12:15 Thursday morning, July 1, at the St. Thomas Mercy hospital, where he had undergone an operation and was a patient since May.

Funeral services were held 9:30 Monday morning, July 5, at St. Gabriel's church in Zearing with the Rev. Farther Joseph Murphy conducting the services.

The casket bearers were Lyle Pulley, Pat Carmody, Paul Wheelock, K. L. Cerka, I. S. Madison and Wm. Gogerty.

Musical numbers were given by St. Gabriel's choir, Albert Dunn, soloist, and Monica Varnum, organist.

Mrs. Nellie Gogerty and Frances Pulley cared for the flowers.

Interment was in the family lot in the Zearing cemetery.

Obituary

John Moon was born in Zearing January 29, 1911, and spent his entire life in this community. He graduated from the Zearing High school in 1929 and was employed by the K. L. Cerka Motor Sales for the past eight years.

He was united in marriage to Beulah Botts on January 18, 1936. Two daughters were born to them, Nancy and Janie, and one son, John, who died in infancy.

Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Frances Moon; his wife, two daughters, and one brother, Frank Moon.
