Last Rites for Mrs. Fred Kutter In Colo Wednesday

Mrs. Fred W. Kutter of Colo, passed away Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 29, at 2:05 o'clock at age of 69 years and 9 mo. She had been in poor health for many years which was further complicated when in June she fell and broke her arm.

Mrs. Kutter was born in La Salle, Ill., March 29, 1875 daughter of Peter and Christina Misenbach. She was married Feb. 9, 1897 to Fred W. Kutter. To this union were born seven children, all of whom survive as does her husband. The children are: A. J. Kutter, Marshalltown; Mrs. Ross Sparrow, Zearing; Mrs. Harry Knebel, Shakapee, Minn.; Mrs. Leighton Nolta, State Center; Fred Kutter, Jr., Minneapolis, Minn.; Mrs. Guy C. Hoel, Nevada and Mrs. George H. Nowlan of Colo, at whose home she passed away.

She also leaves seventeen grand-children, one brother August Misenbach, Davenport, and two sisters, Mrs. John Coney, Chicago, Ill. and Mrs. Fran Kruger, LaSalle, Ill.

The funeral was held from St. Mary's church Saturday morning Dec. 2 at 10:00 o'clock with her pastor Rev. James D. Mahoney officiating.

Burial was in St. James Cemetery at Colo. Pallbearers were Wm. Donaldson, Pat Fitzgerald, Clarence Dodd, Art Cable, John Donnelly and Clarence Stark. In charge of the flowers were Dorothy Weuve, Helen Walker, Vivian Smith and Bernice Greiner.

Relatives from a distance in attendance at the last rites were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kutter Jr., Barbara and Charles of Minneapolis, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Kuebel and Marie and Carolyn and Mrs. Joe Knebel of Shakopee, Minn.; Mrs. John Coney and Mrs. Art Stockmar of Chicago, Adam Kutter, Mildred Kutter, Mrs. Chas. Smith and Joe Kuskerie of Peru, Ill.; Mrs. Andrew Sauser, Mr. and Mrs. Wemer Weber Jr., Mr. Harold McKenna, Mr. Louis Weber and Mr. Frank Weber of Prior Lake, Minn. There were other in attendance from Nevada, State Center, Rhoades, Zearing, Elkhart and Marshalltown.

Mrs. Kutter was long a faithful member of St. Mary's Church in Colo. When her health permitted she was very active in all the affairs of the parish and that interest was never lost, even during her long illness, and at life's close she found the consolations of the faith to which she was always deeply attached.
