Last Rites For George B. Fry Held Sunday
Funeral services for George B. Fry were held from the Iowa Center church Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. with the Rev. C. E. Lookingbill officiating.
The music was furnished by Mrs. Ray Gooden accompanied by Mrs. H. C. Larson at the piano.
The casket bearers were Roy Buttry, Ervin Williams, Earl Williams, George Backous, Elmer Whitaker and Bill Shickell.
Burial was made in the Iowa Center cemetery.
Obituary
George B. Fry, the son of John and Elizabeth Fry, was born May 20, 1885 at Iowa Center. He passed away at his home in Nevada, Ia., Jan. 26, 1949 at the age of 63 years, 8 months, 6 days. He was married to Edith Banks at Tama Feb. 17, 1927. To this union was born six children, John L. Fry of Zearing, Richard E. Fry of Marshalltown, Robert Clyde, Barbara Jane, Sharon Lee, Larry George at home. Also surviving are two step-children, Dwight and Dean Barnett both of Nevada; two sisters, two brothers, Jim Fry of Iowa Center, and Warren Fry of Marshalltown, his aunt Mrs. Maria Lough of Nevada, other relatives and a host of friends.
