Private Services For Mrs. S. M. McHose

Mrs. Sarah M. McHose, longtime resident of Nevada, died at her home 1128 Fourth street, on Tuesday morning after brief illness.

Until recently, Mrs. McHose though of slight build and frail, had been very active. Ten days ago she suffered a fall, which was then thought to be quite minor. It is probable that his weakness led to a second fall while she was about her household duties, from which she declined rapidly.

The daughter Winifred McHose Weeks of Vancouver, Wash. was called and arrived by steamliner a few hours before her mother's passing. During the last several days and nights of her illness she had the constant care of her son Ray and her niece, Mrs. Lottie Smithson of Casey, Iowa.

It was Mrs. McHose's specific direction that her funeral should be one of the utmost simplicity and plans to that effect had been outlined some months ago.

In compliance the children held a prayer service at the home conducted by the Rev. C. E. Lookingbill, before the body was removed to a Des Moines Crematorium. The Ryan Mortuary has handled the detail but there will be no memorial service at their chapel.

Final committal services will be held at the Nevada cemetery at 1:30 on Friday afternoon. This, likewise, will be private service for relatives and intimate friends.
