Services Held For Will Hilton, Maxwell

Funeral services for Will Hilton, 76, were held Friday afternoon from the Cooper-Moore Funeral home with the Rev. G.H. Hulsebus officiating. Mrs. Alice Gooden, soloist sang "Goodnight Here and Good Morning Up There" and "Beyond the Sunset", with Mrs. Iva Larsen, accompanyingon the organ. Floral offerings were many and profuse.

Pallbearers were members of the local Masonic Order, R.B. Bullard, James Ward, Harley Minear, Foss Allen, Henry Thornwall and Joe Young. Masonic services at the graveside were conducted by O.F. Strombeck. Burial was in the Maxwell cemetary.

Obituary

William Hilton, son of James K. Hilton and Clarissa Birch Hilton was born on Oct. 9, 1873, and passed away at Maxwell, Sep. 19, 1950, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C.H. Ince, with whom he had made his home for the past 12 years. He spent all of his life in and around Maxwell with the exception of nine years that he lived in Longmont, Colo.

He was united in marriage in April of 1928 to Emma C. Connor, of Longmont, Colo., who preceded him in death.

He is survived by a stepson of Longmont, Colo., and two nieces, Mrs. C.H. Ince of Maxwell, and Mrs. Charles Ackley, of Marshalltown.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Maxwell.
