Services Held For Mrs. Randy Larson
Funeral services held for Mrs. Randy Larson, who died Monday, Sept. 18, from the Riis Funeral home in Slater last Wednesday. The Rev. Harry Stoutlan offered prayer. Mrs. LaVerne Richardson sang "What A Friend We Have In Jesus."
There were services at the church at 2:00 o'clock with the Rev. Stoutland in charge with a message brought by the Rev. Peder Buland.
Mrs. Richardson sang two solos, "Nearer My God to Thee" and "No Night There." The many beautiful floral offerings were cared for by Mrs. Joe Travese and Mrs. Andrew Wee.
Pallbearers were Elmer Dobbe, Henry Dobbe, Newtie Wee, Miller Wee, Bert Woods and Sylvan Wood. Burial was in the Palestine cemetery.
Obituary
Randy Marie Larson was born Oct. 2, 1863, near Huxley. She was a life long member of the Palestine church, having been confirmed in 1878.
In 1887 she was united in marriage to Sam Larson. To this union were born two sons.
Mrs. Larson is survived by her sons, Roy of Los Angeles, Calif., and Arthur of Huxley, as sister, Mrs. Betsey Woods of Eagle Grove, a brother, Ole Dobbe of Huxley; and five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters, and two brothers.
Mrs. Larson died at the home of her son, Arthur, at the age of 86 years, 11 months and 16 days.
