THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, May 16, 1907, page 5, column 3. "DEATH OF CHARLES BEACH - Charles Mason Beach, a former resident of this place, was born at Casapolis (editorial note Cassopolis, Cass County), Michigan, November 17, 1851 and died at his home near Zearing May 8, 1907, being stricken with heart failure and dropped dead. He came to Iowa in 1867 and located near Maxwell and later moved to Zearing where he has resided on his farm 25 years. He leaves a wife, 3 sons, a sister, Mrs. A. H. McNail, of Nevada and one brother who live's near Collins and many neighbors and friends who mourn his loss."
