Hold Final Services For Mary Ann Pullen

Funeral services were held Thursday from the Colo Evangelical church for Mary Ann Pullen, 22-month-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Pullen. The Rev. Otto Hoffner pastor of the church was in charge of the services. The many beautiful floral arrangements were cared for by Mrs. Roy Ginter and Mrs. Arthur Clatt.

Music was furnished by Mrs. Isabelle Bamford and Mrs. Lois Yeager, who sang two numbers, "Safe In The Arms of Jesus", and "Jewels." They were accompanied at the piano by Mrs. George Benfer, who played appropriate music preceding and at the close of the service.

Burial was in the Colo cemetery.

Mary Ann passed away Tuesday evening at the Deaconess hospital in Marshalltown, where she had undergone an operation for the removal of an object, which had become lodged in her lungs. She came through the operation nicely, put her heart weakened and she passed away before gaining consciousness.

The following obituary was read by Rev. Hoffner during the service. "Mary Ann Pullen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Pullen, was born June 28, 1948, and passed away on May 9th, 1950. She had reached the age of almost 23 months. She leave to mourn her departure: her parents, a little brother, a grandmother, Katherine Hunt, a grandfather, Chester Hunt, and a great aunt Miss Ida Troutner.

A dinner was served the funeral group at the Evangelical church by the Ladies Aid at 11:30 a. m. The serving was in charge of Mrs. J. N. Turner, Mrs. W. H. Ingham and Mrs. Mae Perry.
