Obituary
Ella Kitchel, daughter of Huey and Sarah Graef, was born at Newton, Iowa, January 15, 1879, and died at the Story County hospital, March 10, 1950, at the age of 71 years, one month and 25 days.
She moved with her parents, to the Collins community when a child and grew to womanhood here. She was united in marriage to Warren Kitchel, February 11, 1904. No children were born to this union.
Mrs. Kitchel was a charter member of the Collins Church of Christ. She was converted during the ministry of Evangelist Lawrence Wright, baptized by him, and joined to the group that organized the first church.
Mrs. Kitchel was a quiet, unassuming woman, loved by all those who knew her. She was active in the women's work of the church and by her labors, joined with that of other women, helped keep the doors of this institution open.
Her passing is mourned by her husband, one niece, Maud Coon, and one nephew, Hugh Graef, and by many other relatives and friends.
Death came as a relief from a long confining sickness.
