FORMER RESIDENT LAID TO REST

Former Roland Resident Dies at Home of Son at Radcliffe. Funeral Held Last Tuesday from Salem Church.

Mrs. Tollef O. Thompson died on January 14, 1923, at the home of her son, Carl, at Radcliffe. The cause of her death was leakage of the heart and had been suffering and very low for a few weeks before she passed away. She was a former resident of this place but for the past three years had been making her home with her son, Carl.

She leaves to mourn her death four daughters, Mrs. Ed Sampson and Mrs. Milton Hanson of his place, Mrs. Henry Brekke of near McCallsburg and Mrs. Arthur Lura of Forest City; four sons, Lewis A. of Radcliffe, Carl E., Tome E. and John Thompson of Gaden city besides 24 grandchildren. She also leaves three sisters, Mrs. Andrew Askeland of Britton, S. D., Mrs. H. J. Prescott and Mrs. Olous Male of this place and two brothers, Henry and Eddie of Nevis, Minn. Her husband died several years ago while they were living here. Mrs. Thompson was a kind, loving and devoted mother and always with a kind deed at heart for children, friends and neighbors.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon of last week from Salem Lutheran Church by Rev. J. N. Sandven and laid to rest in the Roland cemetery.
