RESPECTED LADY LAID TO REST
Mrs. A. B. Anderson Died Friday and Funeral is Held Tuesday From Bergen Church.
The sad, yet not wholly unexpected, news reached here Friday evening that Mrs. Andrew B. Anderson, living nine miles southeast of here, had passed away, her ailment having been acute rheumatism with a weak heart. She has suffered more or less for several years, but has been able to be around until a few weeks ago, when she was taken seriously sick, and death came to her relief on Friday evening, May 1, 1908.
Miss Julia Thompson was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Thompson, of this place, and was born near Lisbon, Ill., June 2, 1865. The next year she came with her parents to Story County where she has since resided. She was married to Andrew B. Anderson on March 20, 1884, to which union ten children were born, all of whom are at home. They are: Ove, Annie, Allia, Bertha, Oscar, Josie, Rosie, Amos, Clarence and Irwin. Besides these she leaves her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Thompson, two brothers Abel and Oscar, of this place and three sisters, Mrs. John Halvorson, of Dallas, Wis., Henry Stoll, of near Fernald, and Mrs. John Nerem, of near Radcliffe and numerous other relatives and friends. The deceased was a quiet and home loving woman, who numbered her friends by her acquaintances and who will be greatly missed by her family to whom she was very much devoted.
The funeral was held Tuesday, May 5, from Bergen church, Rev. Smedal officiating, after which interment took place in the Roland cemetery. The church was filled with friends who wished to pay their last tribute to the dead.
The Records extends to the bereaved ones its sincere sympathg in the hour of their sorrow.
