Rites Monday for James Nowning At Maxwell Home

James Chalmer Nowning, 87, died Friday afternoon at 2:30 at the Story County Hospital.

He had been making his home in the Shady Lawn Nursing home in Nevada for the past year, but was a former resident of the Iowa Center Community.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Cooper Funeral Home in Maxwell with the Rev. Paul Hasel, pastor at Colo, officiating.

Burial will be in the Iowa Center cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Mabel, a resident of the Shady Lawn Nursing Home; one son, Edwin, Maxwell; three grandchildren, and three sisters, Mrs. Della Wade, Nevada, Mrs. Eva Ogle, Ames and Mrs. Carrie Ayres, Minn.
