Helen M. Thompson, 88, of Story City died May 6, 2011 at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames. Funeral services will be Tuesday May 10 at 11 a.m. at St. Petri Lutheran Church in Story City. Burial will follow in the Story City Cemetery. Vistition will be Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Soderstrum Funeral Home in Story City.

Helen is survived by her two sons, David (Linda) Thompson of Charles City and Harold (Janice) Thompson of Story City; six grandchildren; 18 great- grandchildren and one sister, Erma Armburg of Nevada.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marshall Thompson; a grandson, Douglas and her brother, Leonard Coffman.

Memorials may be made to St. Petri Lutheran Church, Israel Family Hospice House or Timberland Village in Story City.

Soderstrum Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
