SUDDEN DEATH OF WARREN TOWNSHIP PIONEER
Gunder Ask, aged 70, died at his home northeast of Roland on Monday morning. Mr. Ask has not been in the best of health for some time, but has been able to be up and around. Sunday evening he was taken suddenly ill and died a few hours later.

OBITUARY
Gunder Nelson Ask died at his home 4 1/2 miles northwest of McCallsburg, Iowa, Jan. 31, at 12:30 o'clock, following an attack of heart trouble. He had Bright's disease and high blood pressure and about seven years ago he suffered a slight stroke of paralysis and about three years ago he suffered another attack.
Gunder Nelson was born in Renneso, Stavanger, Norway, on Dec. 10, 1851. He immigrated from Norway when 17 years of age, was on the ocean six weeks. Came to Morris, Ill., where he worked for five years, then came to Hardin county where he bought a farm which he sold later and bought a farm northwest of McCallsburg, where he lived until his death.
Gunder Nelson was married to Miss Mallin Tvedt Jan. 19, 1884.
He leaves to mourn his death, his wife and five children, Mrs. Olaf Solyst, Mrs. Halvor Norem, Cornelius, Bertha and Edith; two children passed away [unreadable] years ago, Ida Amelia and [unreadable] of three years and Nels [unreadable] of 23; and two brothers [unreadable] Ask of Roland and Sver [unreadable] of F[unreadable]
He leaves to mourn his death, a wife and five children and one brother Gabriel Ask of this place.Funeral services will be held on Friday afternoon from the Bergen East Church.
