Death of Mrs. Opstwedt
Mrs. Isabelle Opstwedt, aged 78 years, died Monday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ed Egeland.
Funeral services are being held this afternoon from Bergen Lutheran church.

Mrs. Isabelle Opstwedt was born in Skaanevik, Norway, on the 25th day of February, 1845, and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ed Egeland, in this city, on the 3rd day of January, 1922, being 77 years, 10 months and 9 days old at the time the summons came.
She was a dauther of Ole and Betsey Ness and came to this country at the age of five and they first settled in Lisbon, Ill. After living there a number of years they moved near Roland.
On Sept. 5, 1864, she was united in marriage to Shur Opstwedt and settled down two miles north of Roland. To this union nine children were born.
Her husband and six children have preceded her to the great beyond.
She leaves to mourn her death three children, Mrs. Ed Egeland of Roland, Mr. T. H. Torkelson of Story City and Mr. Joe Opstwedt of Eagle Grove, seventeen grandchildren and three great grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Betsey Sheldahl of Roland.
She was a kind and loving mother and grandmother and was honored by her many friends, who will greatly miss her presence.
Funeral services were held at the Bergen church Thursday at 2 o'clock and interment took place at the Roland Cemetery. Rev. Sumstad, her pastor, officiated.
